Become a member of ANSD!

As a member you are entitled to exclusive benefits when accessing our events and workshops, such as priority and reduced registration fees... and this counts for a lot, because places are always limited!

The annual fee is paid annually by direct debit and is €12/year. Yes... only 1 euro per month!!

If we contribute to saving one life, then all our work has truly paid off.

  • Are places limited?
    Yes, the first to sign up guarantees a place in the national Trauma or Extrication championships.
  • How it works?
    Each team of 2 rescuers (Trauma) or 6 elements (Eviction) has to solve 2 scenarios: one with one victim and the other with two victims, all with similar degrees of difficulty.
  • But we don't have experience... is it worth it?
    Yet another good reason. The scenarios are all different and so are the approaches. There are two to three days of continuous learning. Believe me, it's really worth it!
  • Who wins?
    All. Mainly the victims who will benefit from the experience gained.
  • What is it?
    An immersive experience that tests the abilities to resolve trauma and extrication scenarios.
  • What are the rules?
    The assessment grids are based on the traditional ABCDE victim approach and universally recognized extrication methodologies and techniques. The regulations are provided at the time of registration so you can find out everything in detail.
  • Who goes to the World Championship?
    The first-placed teams from Nacional will represent Portugal in the World Championship... a completely unique experience! 🤩
  • Who can participate?
    Any team that is part of a relief organization. Watching and interacting with the other teams is rewarding in itself... 😉
  • Can I voluntarily help ANSD?
    All ANSD employees voluntarily help the association and its purposes, whether in the management of the association or in the organization of various events. As work becomes more and more, all help is welcome! Helping with logistics and organizing events or even playing the role of victim in trauma and extrication scenarios are not only an added value for ANSD, but also a different way of learning and experiencing the other side of things!
  • Who are the test evaluators?
    The Advisors (so called internationally) are firefighters and/or health professionals (Emergency Technicians, Nurses and Doctors) with appropriate training in the protocols internationally adopted by the World Rescue Organization. Our pool of advisors includes Professional and Volunteer Firefighters and trainers from INEM, the National Firefighters School and the Portuguese Red Cross First Aid School. The criteria are strictly standardized and the promotion of training and technical improvement among all is its priority.   • How to become a member of ANSD?
    Is easy! Simply submit the registration form and pay the respective annual fee. If you have questions, contact us.
  • How can I register for a championship?
    Registration for each event takes place within the periods defined for that purpose after the date and location are announced. But be careful, places will always be limited, so the order of arrival determines the competitors!
  • What are the advantages of being a member?
    Being part of the ANSD and WRO universe, as well as discounts on our activities.
